To date, Wavionix has trained almost 100 PANS OPS experts on the Wavionix Procedures Designer System. Each participant fills in a questionnaire at the end of the course, and our average scores are in the 90’s, which is good testimony to the skills of our instructors and the course structure we provide.

The general feedback is that the course attendees feel they need to complete a refresher/advanced course having completed a WANT course. This is totally understandable, as the WANT course is intensive, particularly for those users who are not familiar with AutoCAD. In addition, personal interaction to explain the upgrades, which are developed and introduced into the software, can never be replaced by a written explanation in a user manual.

For this reason Wavionix Software has introduced a refresher Training Course specially designed for users of WPD. It will focus on the most important and powerful functions such as obstacle database import, ILS/CRM, RNAV and Vertical Cut, areas we think are safety relevant for the procedure expert. During the course there will also be enough time to answer the user’s questions and to cover all tools included in the software package. The course is also a good opportunity to refresh some of the PANS-OPS criteria and allows the student to develop instrument procedures applying the PANS-OPS philosophy.
