The Belgian CAA, Belgocontrol, has selected Wavionix Software for the first time with the acquisition of the award winning Wavionix Procedures Designer 6.1 (WPD6.1). Navegaçao Aerea de Portugal, E.P., the air navigation division of the Portuguese CAA, has further endorsed the product with the acquisition of its second WPD licence.  Now Portugal has two Wavionix licences on the mainland and one in the Azores.

WPD6.1 comprises over 70 individual programmes for the construction and verification of all aspects of procedures design to ICAO PANS-OPS Doc. 8168 criteria.  Over the past two years existing licence holders have become multi licence users of Wavionix .  These include:  The Swedish CAA, Luftfartsverket; The Mitre Corporation, USA; swisscontrol, Switzerland and The CAA Directorate of Airspace Policy, UK.

The Wavionix Procedures Designer, since its launch five years ago, has now been sold in over 65 locations worldwide.  New customers in recent months include the Civil Aviation Authorities of Ghana and Egypt; National Air Traffic Services, UK; and the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service.

JANUARY 2001
