A new association
has been launched for procedural experts working within
the field of air navigation, called the International Association
of Procedures Experts.
The main objective
of this non-profit making association is to create a platform
for people working within this field to exchange ideas,
discuss current issues and future topics that will affect
this area of the aviation industry which is becoming increasingly
complicated and controversial.
The formation
of IAPE follows an initiative by Wavionix Software Ltd,
the industry leaders in procedures design software. Says
Wavionix Managing Director, Patrick Aisher; "further to
feedback from procedural experts world-wide, it became clear
to us that a facility was required for people working within
this highly specialised field to have an opportunity to
exchange ideas. Depending on response, the intention is
to organise the first IAPE conference towards the end of
1998 "
