Wavionix Software
has become a standard tool in the automated design of instrument
approach procedures under the PANS OPS guidelines. More than
70 civil and military air navigation service providers currently
use our tools for their airspace design needs.
Over the last year, we have redefined the objectives of the
company and reviewed both the product range and company structure
to better serve the industry. As a result of this review we
will enter 2003 with a streamlined company, an improved procedure
design tool and a complimentary range of services for the
aviation industry procedure designer. Wavionix Software has
changed its name to WX Systems.
New Software:
Since the first trial versions, through the ICAO-sponsored
testing and initial release of WPD Version 1 in 1994, to the
award-winning, internationally acclaimed software of today,
we have been annually upgrading the initial system architecture.
It has long been recognised that the tool required a complete
new structure to take advantage of the many advances in both
programming languages and platforms.
For this reason we are terminating the existing WPD Series,
and will be releasing the next generation of superior software
under the WX1™ Series.
The new WX1™ Software will be released in January 2003
and constantly updated throughout the year via the client
website. The WX1™ Series will include updated versions
of the many programmes already found within the WPD7.0 (Wavionix
Procedure Designer Release 7.0) and WASP (Wavionix Airport
Surfaces Planner). As well as including the following significant
improvements: Datum Transformations, Bearing and Distance,
Improved import Functionality, New Automated Radial Tool,
New Precision Approach Tools, BARO-VNAV Tool, Noise Abatement
Tool, updated Operating Systems.
