National
Air Traffic Services Limited has acquired Wavionix Software
for the design and evaluation of approach and departure procedures
at the main UK airports.
Wavionix Procedures Designer 6.1 software will be installed
in the NATS offices at Manchester in the next couple of weeks.
NATS joins a growing list of major UK clients to use Wavionix
Software, which include the UK CAA Safety Regulation Group
and the Directorate of Airspace Policy (part of the CAA),
Roke Manor Research Ltd and Airsys ATM.
Says Wavionix Managing Director,
Patrick Aisher; "This second acquisition of Wavionix Software
by NATS underpins the credibility of the product and demonstrates
our market lead in this highly specific area. Several existing
users such as the UK CAA, Skyguide (formerly Swisscontrol),
NAV Portugal and the Mitre Corporation have bought more licences
in the past two years".
