Wavionix
Software, the industry leaders in procedures designer software,
is organising various training and evaluation courses throughout
1999. The objective of these courses is to assist PANS-OPS
specialists and airport planners to understand how instrument
flight procedures and Annex 14 surfaces for airport planning
and development can be calculated and constructed in 2 or
3 dimensions via a computer aided design system.
The Wavionix Procedures Designer and Airport Surfaces Planners
are designed to ICAO criteria, and the delegate quickly
appreciates the substantial timesaving of using Wavionix
software tools over their existing manual methods. Literally
hours of tedious calculations can be processed in seconds
using Wavionix tools.
The next Training & Evaluation of Computerised Design
Course will start on April 19 th through to April 23, 1999,
and costs 4,000 pounds sterling per delegate to include
accommodation, transfers, all hardware and software facilities,
food & beverage and VAT. This six-day course, gives
a complete introduction of how to design procedures by computer
using WPD5.0 and Annex 14 surfaces using WASP.
The first Advanced Evaluation Course is due to be held
in May of this year in the United Kingdom (exact dates to
be confirmed), and is aimed at qualified procedures designers
with PANS-OPS experience, or experienced Wavionix WPD users.
To date, Wavionix courses have been attended by specialists
from all over the world including the Slovenian, Portuguese,
UK and South African CAA's, and Air Traffic Service providers
from the
FAA/DoD's Mitre Corporation to Frankfurt Airport.
Feedback from the courses always underline the substantial
time saving benefits associated with using WPD software
tools and the added security of avoiding human trial and
error. Where appropriate, training courses can also be held
on site, these include The Swedish CAA, Eurocontrol and
Bahrain International Airport.
