The WX TERPS® History:
The WX TERPS® Software has been created by WX Systems, the innovative business that has been created to build upon the ten year heritage of Wavionix Software Limited, the original creators of procedure design automation. Also founded by Patrick Aisher, WX Systems has a strong management team in place and is supported by a broad base of private and institutional investor shareholders. WX Systems specialises in the provision of software, training and consultancy services to companies and organisations in the field of air navigation services and aircraft/airport operations. The WX1™ Series of Software is used in nearly 90 locations worldwide as the de facto standard in designing instrument procedures under ICAO Guidelines. The WX TERPS® now allows aeronautical experts working under FAA Guidelines to enjoy the same benefits as their ICAO colleagues.
Tried and Tested
Building upon the global success of the WX1™ Series has allowed WX Systems to create a highly flexible and functional suite of automated tools in the WX TERPS® Product. Over the years, our core architecture and previous versions of software have been thoroughly tested by the National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR), the Eurocontrol Software Tools Working Group, Stasys Limited and the Coba Consulting Group. Furthermore, our tools have received international recognition for setting standards in the increasing automation and computerisation of aeronautical data when they were awarded finalist prize in the International Aerospace Awards in Paris.
WX Systems' award-winning software is used in more than ninety-five locations worldwide as the standard tool for quick, efficient, and cost-saving design of all aspects of air navigation procedures and airspace design. |
 |
WX TERPS® SOFTWARE:
The leading commercially available software tool for Procedures Experts.
WX Systems launches the award winning WX TERPS® in January 2006. Comprising many different programs, it is used to graphically present procedures to the recommendations and criteria laid down by the FAA Order 8260.3B Terminal Instrument Procedures.
The WX TERPS® eliminates the manual trial and error process used to calculate and graphically draw procedures for the verification of obstacle protection areas. These procedures are subsequently translated into charts for pilots on aircraft. In addition, the software's rapid calculation capability means that enormous time savings can be made in the procedure design proccess.

THE DESIGNER HAS COMPLETE CONTROL
The The WX TERPS® software incorporates practical feed-back for users so that all variables that affect the overall procedures design, primarily fly-ability and minimum altitudes, can be checked by the procedures designer at each stage, thereby giving the user complete control throughout the entire design process. Additionally, the software incorporates automation of many previous manual tasks. |
 |
TIME SAVINGS
Enormous timesavings can be achieved using the WX TERPS® software, which allows the designer to be more productive, allowing time to work on the development of new procedures and checking existing procedures. |

THE CRITERIA BUTTON
While you are using the program, you will always have a button called "Criteria" once you click on it, it gives you what should be done in this module with respect to FAA criteria. WX TERPS® made this idea to control the designer to make a famous mistake which is putting parameters out of FAA criteria. |
 |
THE HELP BUTTON
Also there is a "HELP" button, once you click on it, it shows to you a smart hint about what should be done with respect to the module you are using. WX TERPS® made this idea to facilitate the use of the program and save time, effort, and errors. |
 |
MINIMUM HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Due to the growing sophistication of the program it is important to use the latest platforms, therefore the WX1™ Software Suite will only run on AutoCAD Version 2000 and above, and Windows 98 Release 2 and above. For superior performance, we strongly recommend AutoCAD 2002/MAP5 in conjunction with Windows 2000 XP/Professional. |
 |
TRAINING
All users of WX TERPS® are encouraged to attend a WX TERPS® Basic Training Course as soon as they have acquired a licence. In this way they can realise the true capacity and time savings of this highly sophisticated software tool. The WX TERPS® is aimed at users with FAA TERPS expertise. If the user has no experience of AutoCAD, which is the platform for WX TERPS® Software, then they should either take an officially recognised course prior to attending a WX TERPS® Basic Training Course, and study the AutoCAD manual before coming on the course.
